This quotation has been the inspiration behind the entire G-Stream program. The initial focus was to design a rear wing that would not only perform substantially better than the mass produced "spec" racing wings that are currently available, but also to push the envelope as far as we could, using the latest in low Reynolds number airfoil technology, along with the best in composite construction and manufacturing methods for this particular application.
What can G-Stream technology do for a production-based racecar?
Anyone with more than a passing interest in motorsports is aware of the huge performance gains achieved when using downforce on open wheel racecars and purpose-built closed wheel cars.
The G-Stream technology is intended to meet the requirements of race-prepared production-based cars. The design incorporates computer modeling to achieve it's effectiveness and proven through years track testing and data analysis. The performance of these cars can be improved dramatically and this performance improvement adds a lot more of what we think auto racing is all about.
After successfully addressing the rear downforce, we focused on the front of the car to provide a balance to the downforce package. We tried different prototype designs to come up with a splitter design that incorporates a modified undertray that could be easily be adapted or reconfigured by altering it's shape to fit a wide range of front bumpers or fascias.
